Formaly, the band Burning Faith was known (no, not really known, it was called) Downfall, which was a kind of "fun band" founded by Baier (Guitar & Vocals) and Sevi (Drums). Sometimes, they played together, but there was something missing. A bass player. They tried hard to find someone who knows how to play the bass, but they didn't find anyone. Soon, Sevi found out that Baier's singing skills weren't good enough and he suggested to look out for a singer, but Baier didn't agree with this. He wanted to be the one to sing in his band, and so Sevi went away more and more. When Baier asked him to play once again, he always maintained that he's pinched for time.
One day, Dany, Baier's school friend, suggested to try playing drums, but he hadn't learned playing drums before. They also changed their band name into "Enfermo", which is the spanish word for sick. The effect was kinda funny, because they both had no good skills. Baier could not sing very well and Dany was kinda wanna-be-drummer. Baier started to write some songs and in spite of knowing that they are not playing very well, they made a few recordings. But afer some months they found out that this was not the thing they wanted to do. Baier's guitar skills were upgrading more and more, because he took guitar lessons, but Dany, who wasn't doing anything for playing drums better than this, soon suggested to look out for a drummer, who had better skills. Not more than two or three days later, he came back with his neighbor, Dani K, who had been playing drums for more than one year those days. Dany, who had nothing to do then, tried himself in playing the bass. And.. Look! He's a quite good bass player now. The three guys practised playing their instruments a lot and Baier startet to take singing lessons. Dani K joined the band and Dany switched from drums to the bass.
It was the time for a complete restart. They changed their name into Burning Faith and they played together very often. They set up their own rehearsal room in Dani K's basement, and to make recordings, they used the sound studio in Baier's basement. They re-recorded their old songs and Baier wrote some new songs, which were harder, more progressive and some kind of metal-like songs.
They also decided to play some songs from The Ramones and Metallica, like "For whom the Bell tolls" or "Harvester of Sorrow", and they tried to make a name for themselves with recording them for putting them on their myspace page.
After practising a lot, they will be able to play some concerts soon. "We're looking out for some gigs, we promise ;)" At the Moment, they are at Baier's basement to record their first EP called Burning Faith EP.
Recently they split up with their bass player Dany of personal reasons.
At the moment, they are again looking out for a bass player. In the meantime, Baier will play the bass on recordings.
