PEDRO ZOY

Pedro Zoy inicia a sua carreira com uma entrada fulgurante no cenário electrónico português, percorrendo o seu sonho e divulgando novas sonoridades. Tech house, minimal e techno são as referências diárias na vida deste jovem produtor, tentando explorar ao máximo as características próprias do espirito da dance music.
Começou a ir a raves no princípio da década de 90, tendo sido desde logo contagiado pelas batidas e texturas de Plastikman, Derrick May, Jeff Mills… Essa vivência fez com que o techno e o house lhe entrassem na corrente sanguínea e da sua música, uma experiência electrizante de bases bem fundadas.
Em 2007, formou o projecto Minimetrik com o seu amigo de longa data, DJ Kaesar, tendo actuado com este nos míticos afters do Europa. Actua também como DJ em diversos clubs da noite lisboeta como o Souk ou a Crew Hassan, entre outros. Prepara-se agora para estrear o seu live act, que promete ser uma das revelações da cena electrónica portuguesa em 2009.
Em 2008 edita o seu primeiro EP pela Black Mamba Records e participa num VA de Natal na já conhecida Monocline Records. Entretanto, aguardam-se novos releases pelos selos Troia Recordings, Benthic Recordings, SideFx Records e Wolf Music.
Pedro Zoy starts his career with a smashing entrance in the portuguese electronic movement, chasing his dream and exploring new sounds. In his daily life, tech house, minimal and techno are big references, trying to explore, to the maximum, all the proper characteristics of the dance music spirit. By the beginning of the 90s he started to party in several raves, having been contaminated by the beats e and textures of greats like Plastikman, Derrick May, Jeff Mills… Techno and house music entered is blood stream and made his music an electric experience with well established bases. In 2007, found the Minimetrik project along with is long time friend, DJ Kaesar, and performed with him in the mythic after hours at Europa. He also performs as DJ in several Lisbon nightclubs like Souk, Bar do Rio or Crew Hassan, among others. He is now getting his live performance together, which is already awaited by the local scene and will certainly be a big hit this summer. In 2008, he released his first EP with Black Mamba Records and he was invited to participate in a Christmas VA for Monocline Records. Meanwhile, new releases will be out very soon, with Benthic Recordings, SideFx Records e Wolf Music.
