Geovanni Suquillo or GEO born in Valle de los Chillos QUITO-ECUADOR ,is a guitarist , keyboardist and composer with influences of jazz ,flamenco ,rock ,new age ,world music among others ,but always keeping the taste of "Latino" and Ecuadorian.
His influences of musicians and composers include Al Di Meola, Path Metheny, Paco de Lucia ,Strunz and Farah,Steve Vai, Kitaro ,Vangelis ,Yanni among others.
He moved to New York in 2003 supported by Hewlett-Packard Company ,and he started performing with andean music groups performing in state fairs all over the country at the same time giving guitar and piano private lessons in the New York area .Important performances include : Concert for the Human Rights in Flushing Park 2004(audience 5000 people). United Nations Indigenous Issues concert every May (2004-2005-2006-2007).Smithsonian American Indian Museum of New York,summer concert (June 2007) Metropolitan Museum of New York ,summer concert (August 2008).
GEO is an official member of the program MUNY (Music Under New York)supported by MTA, having 3 performances every week in the subway system.
At the same time teaching guitar and piano private lessons ,also producing my music in my own studio.
