We want you to look at our large selection of intricatly textured sculptures, and illusions of PaintNathan C. Naylor's artistic form represents his passion for the exquisite beauty the human body portrays. An application of a thin layer of Plaster of Paris to a live model simulates the foundation of Naylor's creative master pieces. Combining texture and paint brings familiar shapes to a level of expression that can be tailored to any particular taste, décor design. Ten years of concentrated work in this medium has evolved into a unique style not found in other artists' performing in this art form.Naylor's diverse creative point of view spans the classic image of David and The Thinker to the fanciful mermaid of the sea. The body pose, texture style, color and artistic additions capitalize on a focused theme created by Naylor's multiple skills. Naylor's commissioned pieces are tailored to his client's preferences and emulate unique expression of the human form.Naylor's passion for creating this unique form of artistic expression is best expressed in his appreciation of the human body."I think all bodies are beautiful. I want to capture the person's spirit and produce a beautiful work of art that can be appreciated; even from "a body" that society doesn't think is perfect."Nathan Naylor grew up in Savona, Upstate New York. His dedication to developing his talents began with his involvement in school sponsored mural painting. Naylor continued growing his talents in a variety of mediums, using pastels, chalks, charcoal, acrylic, clay, wood and air brushing. His creativity has spanned from large murals to portraits on glass. Naylor expresses energy and interest by incorporating themes in the painting of the sculptures. One theme enhanced endeavor was the creation of a painted magical world inspired from his interpretation of lyrics from a Pink Floyd song. He now resides in Largo, Florida with his wife, Cara Naylor. They are fortunate to have 400 square feet of studio space in their home.Live performances are offered as a unique entertainment event and give the audience the opportunity to see the making of the first phase of the Plaster Sculpture. Watching the skillful creation of the thin casting on a live model brings an appreciation for the multifaceted craft that evolves to a unique representation of the human form.
