"Je peux aller tres loin autant que Jah veut" - " I can go as far as Jah wants" Vauman Jah
That is the principle that this son of the western African waters lives by. Vauman Jah is born to make music. In Africa he is part of a respected group of veneered people called the "Hassinon" meaning song makers. The Hassinon traditionally can make music on the fly and craft rhythmic words out of any idea in order to entice the people to pay attention to a specific message.
Just as many children of Africa, he had a difficult childhood and saw first hand the harshness created by political turmoil in his homeland.
He often wishes people could realize that life is not as hard as they make it and that we all could live in harmony and live a prosperous life together. in 1997 he founded a non-profit Non-political organization called
M.I.C.R.O. (Interconfessional Movement Against Repression and Oppression).
This is a way for him to lay his vision and dreams for all the people around the world without a voice.
"For all of you that have so much to say but that have no voice, M.I.C.R.O. is your flag; it is your voice" says Vauman Jah.
At the early stage of his evolving musical carrier, he recorded an 8 title album with Iron Bender. His new album is in the making as he signs with Atlanta's own Happy Way Records.
