About Me

I'm kind of an idiot... I generally live life without plans, or is it that i have so many plans that I don't have enough time to organize them properly. A friend once said, "You're like a cat..." To which I replied, "I thought cats were supposed to land on their feet." I had recently had the misfortune of falling head first off of a friends rooftop patio... but that's a different story. I was born into the world, grew up as a carni (to some extent), came to agreement with the educational system that perhaps it wasn't for me, worked eight years off and on with the restaurant industry and traveled. I tried working in social services and while I love it, I found that the calling of the road is too strong to ignore. I'm a beauty school drop out because, well, quite honestly I think that that title is greater than being a cosmetologist. When I was fourteen years old, I thought it would be a good idea to hold onto a moving bus while riding my bicycle. I am missing two of my front teeth as a result. I rode a bicycle from Boston, Massachusetts to San Diego, California in 39 days. When I arrived, a friend said to me, "You should've waited one more day. It would've seemed more epic and prophetic to be on a journey of 40 days and 40 nights." I spent 9 months, living on, and playing music in the streets of Europe and started a blog during that journey. It proved to be difficult to travel in a way that resembles freedom and be totally honest with the people that loved me. Upon returning, one of the first questions from my mother's mouth was "Where are you going next?" Some things are just expected I guess. I don't know the answers, nor do I know what plans are actually going to come to light, but I do know that there's usually an interesting story to go along with it.
