RISING AGAIN FROM THE UNDEAD.. The original Mile High Metalheads are BACK! The first new DEAFENER songs in over a decade are posted here - Check out "Under the Bus", "Except Me", "Freedom" and "Die 4 Me". There are many more comin soon. The new CD "Nu Future" will be released Spring '09, only on myspace. The original Denver thrash band was formed in 1984 under the moniker Metal for Mankind. When founder Deff decided to go with an all original format the following year, the lineup changed to three piece and the name changed to Deafener. Two years later, Wolf and Killer were added.They won best local band on the Z-rock Mile High Metal Meltdown, and got an audition for A&M records. Unfortunately, when it came time for their audition, Wolf was found under a table and was too totalled to stand up. So much for the record deal. Needless to say, Wolf was fired, and Deff resumed the front man duties. As a four piece, they shredded the eardrums of moshing fans until about ten years ago.
