Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio Cora Price always knew she wanted to be a writer. At the tender age of eight she authored the now famous words “I will not talk in class.” Though an “A” student in penmanship, after writing this statement 100 times on a stained, crumpled sheet of loose leaf the barely legible words led to sweeping reforms in the United States school system. This simple-minded act changed the way an entire generation learned about misbehavior in class. Always a dull-witted, lazy child Cora followed her first effort with the powerful essay “I will keep my eyes on my paper.”Years of tutelage and remedial coursework followed. She was finally released from high school in 1975. Driven by a broken moral compass, by this time she was mother of Brian, a poor neglected, malnourished waif who was ultimately taken by the state. After repeated incidence of escape, his mother finally accepted him, raising him outside the church. Details of their existence during this time are hazy. In 1980 Brian’s father was shot sixty-seven times in the back. Cora was brought in for questioning but not charged with his murder.Cora worked full time in a series of menial jobs while attending the University of Cincinnati Evening College. In the mid-eighties she obtained degrees in Liberal Arts, Economics, a Master of Ceremonies and a Gradual Degree from Yell.In 1987 she moved to Georgia, met and seduced German welding magnate Prentice Von Miller. The couple wed in 1993. To their dismay, she became pregnant. Soon young Solomon was born.A suspicious fire destroyed the company and left the Von Millers in financial ruin. Cora took positions in accounting and business. She was dismissed after being implicated in an embezzlement scandal in 2000. She penned her memoir Taxes, Death & Trouble from a Fulton County jail cell. The manuscript was smuggled out in Mr. Von Miller’s ass and published.
