I'm a 16 years old boy from Norway, also known as "GuitarPerry" from Youtube.
I've been playing guitar since I bought my first guitar, June 10th 2004. It wasn't the first time I learned how to play a instrument.
It started earlier, 3 years earlier to be correct. At 3rd grade, I was a member of a school band. I played a baritone, but at that time, I didn't knew how interesting and beautiful music is.
My interest in music started in early 2004, when my best friend was sleeping over at my house. He showed some records he borrowed from his father. It was records from Aerosmith and The Rainmakers. It may be the first time I ever listened to a distorted guitar sound in my whole life. Just after some seconds of listening, I knew that music was something for me, to be specific; rock n' roll!
A little later that year, my best friend bought a drum kit. I thought that it was kinda bad that I didn't play a cool instrument like a drum kit, so I decided to save some money, and when the day came, June 10th 2004, I went to a guitar shop and bought my first ever guitar. Since that day, I have been practicing hard. I play guitar at least 349 days in a year, and I'm trying to play at least 1 hour a day, but it's often I practice more!
After I picked up the guitar, I discovered a more heavier music than Aerosmith and The Rainmakers, a new band stepped into my life; Metallica. After I listened to my first ever Metallica song, Nothing Else Matters, and later Master Of Puppets, I knew that I wanted to play like them, I wanted to be a part of the genre Heavy Metal.
Since I started to play, I've been in 3 or 4 bands, but just 2 of them was more serious. Today, I'm "just" in one band, it's called "No Silence". I think it's genre is Doom Metal, but I'm not sure. We will maybe make a Myspace page some day, but first we need to practice together more often. We'll probably do that when I begin at high-school this fall.
From the day I began to listen to Metallica extremely, my love to thrash metal has grew, and I really want to deliver the old-school thrash metal to the people around the world. Because time machines doesn't exists (for what I know, and it's probably right) it will be a really hard job, and so it will to just be "discovered" by the big guys in the record companies, but I will try the best I can to make my wish come true; to be a musician that play BIG gigs and record things in a studio - a rock star easily said.
Me and a buddy are planning to make a thrash-metal band, influenced by (old)Metallica, Testament, Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, a bit Slayer and rest of those guys. If we're are lucky, we will be big (something I really hope.)
I think that's it, I don't think many will read this short biography of my life since my life as a musician started. If you did it, then claps to you. Now you probably know a little more of me.

Be a friend and don't just download music for free (if you do). You're just killing the music industry and the chances to MANY musicians with hopes. It's not dangerous to buy some albums, you're supporting the artists (that have been sacrificed many, many things in their lives). Piracy Kills Music - it really do.
