I came here from youtube, partially because you can post full quality stereo songs! I am new to myspace, and pretty much clueless on how the community functions work.. though I do know HTML, so maybe no one will notice... heh...
The name isodig is shortened from: I so dig.. It's the name I came up with when I joined youtube because the music I was loving the musical community so much there and all the great things they do.
I like music, and I like it live. I like to jam, and I like to hear and see people jam. That connection of playing music with people is not really like anything else and I feel fortunate to be able to take part in it when I can.
I have been playing for around 25 years now, but I have forgotten more than I now know. I am rebuilding my library of playable songs but the brain doesn't seem to keep it the way it used to. I have never been a shredder, always had problems with keeping in time, can barely talk while playing, and singing while playing is like trying to tie my shoelaces with my toes.
I like pretty sound, and I like that pretty sound better when it is creepy and scary and loud.
I have no desire for commercial success or popularity. I do hope folks dig what I do, at least some of them.. I just wanted to share my stuff in hopes that it will help other musicians play more or better in the way that so many others have helped me. And maybe they will share something back - something new for us all to dig.
That would make me happiest.
