New Mexico is home to the creative 4-piece, Venturi. Venturi was formed in the middle of 2004 by original members Jared Michnovicz (Guitars, Background Vocals and Track Programming) and Jotham Michnovicz (Lead Vocals). John Romano (Drums) and Justin Carmichael (Bass) were added to the current roster in 2005 and have become vital components of Venturi’s corporate style of writing, arranging, and producing the music. The musical stylings of Venturi have been influenced by Thrice, Showbread, Muse, Panic! At The Disco, Dead Poetic, mewithoutYou, At The Drive-In, The Mars Volta, Prib’s Garage and many others. In a previous band, Old Man Shattered, Jotham opened for bands such as Shinedown, The Exies, Strata and Crossfade. Jotham was also part of bands that have had national radio interviews and experienced national radio play. Venturi currently has songs in rotation on Clear Channel’s “104.7 The Edge†in Albuquerque and has played along side Astonish Records’ Soular and Anxiety Record’s In Reverent Fear. Venturi has long been classified in the Nu-Metal genre but has recently progessed toward an Indie Rock feel that has been made more evident in the three newest tracks currently being recorded, projected to be complete by the end of December, 2006.
