A musician must choose between their muse and the economics of playing for free to satisfy the muse. A hard choice to be sure, but one that must be made as the urge to play music is usually very strong in a true musician. So how does one keep the muse happy and pay the bills?
JUST A QUICK WORD BEFORE WE GET STARTED.... .. Due to the influx of hackers and spammers and scammers...I WILL NOT add you to my friends list if your site is set to private, is spooky, or in anyway strange... One friend-Tom, no friends, no links, no music that you have demoed, no comments, or 1 comment will result in my denying you a Friend status. You will have to show me yours cause I have already showed you mine. .... Thankxx....
Count it down we're rolling... Studio Owner/Producer/Engineer......... I am a Musicians Advocate with a day job. The Studio is not how I make my living. I have been playing music for almost 50 years and look pretty good for my age, depending on which day you view my profile picture. It is my wish to get the music out there and see what your fate brings back. If you are serious about your music, but are financially challenged, hit me up, as I know how hard and frustrating it is to be heard when you have nothing to present. We can work it out.
With todays technology and the way that things are, I believe that musicians can market themselves and find thier 15 minutes of fame through the Internet, generating enough of a buzz for these musicians to earn some income from all of their hard work.
PLEASE patronize the vendors that I have listed in my friends. I believe that they make very good gear and support musicians. I am not getting paid nor do I recieve any kind of renumeration or free stuff for pimping their products.
MY STUDIO is a 56 track analog and digital multitrack Cubase SX facility that is four feet underground and surrounded by a two feet thick solid concrete foundation, making for a very tight drum sound and live room. The control room has 12 channels of British Tube mic pre's, 8 channels of British Focusrite ISA and Drawmer, and 24 channels of Yamaha DM 2000 mic pre's in a Yamaha Digital Console. Crystal clear digital, or warm analog recording is to hard disk. Monitoring is by Event Sp8 and Furman 4 channel x 6 individual artist adjustable headphone cue system. Microphone selection is varied and goes from Soundelux, Neumann, and Senheisser, to AKG, Shure, and Earthworks microphones. Connectivity by Mogami and Canare wire. Good tools=Good work.
