*** UPDATE! *** I'm currently in the process of updating this webpage so I apologize for its sad appearance at the moment.
At the present moment I'm recording a new full length album with Ryan DeSiato @ Congress House Studio in Austin, TX. Producer Mark Hallman ( Ani Difranco, Oasis, Brandi Carlile...and MANY more credits) and engineer Ned Stewart are helping to record this new album. It's a very comfy and welcoming place and Mark and Ned are just awesome to work with. This is my only full time project at the moment but I am available for studio recordings, lessons, and fill in performances for those who are here to check out my availability as a drummer. Thanks for stopping by! :)

My name is Ed Ziehm, I'm a 25 year old drummer and singer from Olmsted Falls, Ohio. I've been drumming for over 15 years and have been singing for even longer. I attended Berklee College of Music in 2001. While there, I studied privately with Rod Morgenstein ( Dixie Dregs, Winger, Jelly Jam ). My influences include many drummers that have great feel, stage presence, and technical skill. Some of which would be Bernard Purdy, Neil Peart, Questlove, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Animal ( ha ha. ), and Buddy Rich just to start. I've toured the nation twice and have played hundreds of shows with many amazing musicians. Within the last year, I've been endorsed by C&C Custom Drums who make drum sets for bands such as Fall Out Boy, The Flaming Lips, and Modest Mouse to name a few. In March of 2007, I auditioned for Blue Man Group (to be a Blue Man, not a drummer in the band) and received a call back which resulted in me flying out to Las Vegas, Neveda for a second private audition with Blue Man Casting. For six months in 2007, I toured all parts of Texas with country artist Ryan Turner. This was my first country music experience of any kind. I've lived in Ohio, Massachusetts, Florida, Texas and love to travel. I typically play live with a metronome but also enjoy playing without one.
Bands that I've played with while in Texas...
- Ryan DeSiato
- James Bullard
- Kalu James
- Aly Tadros
- Stephen James Group
- Ryan Turner
- Kazki and The Electric Children
- Dave Jorgenson
- Lucascookus
- She, Sir
- Detroit Steel
