Kim Ta, a french lyric bass who was first a ballet dancer at the Paris Opera for 10 years, made his studies at the Paris Bastille Opera studio and at the European Academy of Aix en Provence.
He made his début in 2001 in the Verdi Requiem in Besançon. He then was engaged to be the Doctor Grenvil in la Traviata in the Opera of Tours, next to Mireille Delunsch. He also performed there Angelotti in Tosca with Franck Ferrari and Jean-Luc Viala. Kim Ta has given a recital at the Palco dei Ridotti at la Scala, Milano, still as a student. He is singing both coloratura bass roles and more dramatic parts such as Herode in "l'Enfance du Christ"(Berlioz). He has sung the title role of the first Rossini Opera, Demetrio and Polibio ( Polibio, the king) and Il Conte in "La Scala di Seta".
