Biographie
Wittig & Schmutzler - aka Nils Wittig and Jonas Schmutzler, resident artists of the „Ursprung Elektro“ event series, offer everything from Deep/Tech-House to Breaks and driving Techno. Young yet experienced, they’re always ready to dish out hearty portions of wicked grooves to the dance-hungry party community, alone or as a duo.
Since launching in January 2007, they’ve spent quite some time on the road: gigs at the 311, the Tanzhaus West, and the S26, from the S38 in Koblenz and the Fortnox in Worms to the Pacha in Bali/Indonesia - just to name a few. Yet it was a special pleasure for both music lovers to appear at the official Afterhour of the YouFM Clubnight in Butzbach’s film theatre during the Hessentag 2007, where they had previously time and again brought the dance floor to a boil as Ziel100.
Wittig & Schmutzler have appeared alongside names such as Solomun & Stimming (Diynamic Music), Joachim Spieth (Kompakt), Patrick Zigon (Puzzle Traxx), and Afrilounge (Get Physical). You can catch them each month at the Central Studio/Friedberg, where they kick off the highly successful „Ursprung Elektro“ event series as warm-up DJs. Apart from that, they’ll be appearing soon at the Kunstkeller/Giessen, the Puppen Fabrik in Berlin Zossen, and the Elektroküche/Köln.
Without a doubt, it’s always worth trusting these two young talents to keep you dancing from dusk ‘til dawn.
