About Me

February 9th 1964. Sitting on the floor in front of black and white TV, probably in pajamas, George saw The Beatles for the first time on the Ed Sullivan Show like millions of others. There was no VCRs or TiVo. Those of us that saw it only saw once but we all knew, regardless of age that everything had changed right in front of our eyes.A year later George, his brother Tom, cousins Rick and Mike Pearson, following the lead Beach Boys, form a family band, Tommy and The T-Bones, where George played Lead Tennis Racket. Learning the hard way that the old lead tennis racket wasn’t making the his female classmates in first grade scream and faint like the Beatles, George started the begging process with his parents to get a bass guitar after many hours lusting the Tedesco, Supro, and Danelectro guitars and basses seen in the windows at the local department stores in his hometown of South Bend. Finally in the 5th grade George got his first guitar, a hand me down Stella or Harmony acoustic. The strings were old, the tuners were broken and the action was so high it was almost unplayable but George started the process of making music. Shortly after George purchased a small reel-to-reel tape recorder and started writing songs.Flash forward to the 1970’s. George moves to San Jose California and within months he buys his first bass, a barely working bizarre Italian hollowbody which his high school buddy Al Chan (The Rubinoos) shows him how play along with a few Who songs. The Italian bass was soon replaced by an Ovation Acoustic guitar and a Rickerbacker 4001 bass and George has been playing in bands ever since. Here are some of the bands George has played with:HARBINGER - Bass/ The YL ALL NIGHTER BAND - Acoustic & Electric Guitar / The THE BISMARCK PROJECT– Bass, Electric Guitar, Keyboards / PARKER NOWICKI BAND– Guitar, Bass, Keyboards & Harmonica / THE TANDEM ALL STARS – Electric Guitar / SAVE THE MEDFLYS - Electric Guitar / THE SCUDTONES- Bass / THE CINDY SMITH BAND – Bass / THE TURNING POINT BAND – Electric Guitar, Lap Steel / THE SHANNON HAYLEY BAND – Guitar & Bass / THE REGGIE COATES BAND – Bass / BLUESHIFT – Electric Guitar / CROSSFIRE- Electric Guitar / THE SCHMASS - Electric Guitar / THE MOTOWN MESSENGERS - Electric Guitar / THE STEAMROLLER BLUES BAND- Electric Guitar / ASHLEY CLEVELAND - Electric Guitar / THE RANDY BLACK BAND- Electric Guitar & Guitar Synth / THE ICONICS - Electric Guitar, Guitar Synth / THE USUAL SUSPECTS – Electric Guitar / THE SUSHI COWBOYS – Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Lap Steel / THE MOJO NAVIGATORS - Bass / THE SUBSTITUTE PREACHERS - Bass / Vocals / THE DEAD DUCKS - Guitar and Bass / THE FREAK FLAG FLYERS - Electric Guitar / B3 Organ THE SANTA CRUZERS - Electric Guitar and Bass / BLIND LEMONAID - Electric Guitar and Vocals / THE SNARKY CATS - Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Lap Steel /
