About Me

Profile courtesy of MySpace Layouts. I am so grateful to still be doing this after my two bouts with throat cancer, a fun little stroke and the continuing pleasures of rheumatoid arthritis. It's funny, I went for 40 years without any health problems and then... life just kinda grabbed me and said, whoa... here's something for you to deal with. I do though. If you notice my new little smiley logo. That pretty much sums up my attitude to life. Be humble and smile a lot. I am very thankful for every second of every day I get to spend with my friends and family and still have the chance to perform. I love performing. People say I'm good at it. I say, thank you. My new CD is finally done. I call it "nine bent fingers". For those of you who know me, you'll know why. Overall, I like it but I seem to anal about sound and production and am never truly happy with the mix or vocals or something. I'm learning to deal with that... Hope you enjoy. Thanks to all of you looking at this page. Please look at my friend's pages also. There are some incredible musician's and compositions within. Enjoy.

Band Members: Nine Bent Fingers and One Straight One...My new and... only CD is done at this point. There are only 6 songs on it but I like them all. I'm never happy with the end result but, overall... I'm pretty happy. I had help from Jak Kelly on "There Aint' No One Like Me In Tennessee". Jak does an outstanding job of beautiful finger-picking on it. Corporation Rules is helped by David Cotton on Clarinet and a really cool Sax part on the Saxophone Player. Thank you both so much for your input and inspired performances! This CD was recorded after fighting Mars in Retrograde for two weeks. I learned the hard way... don't fight Mars in Retrograde when it comes to technology, you're gonna lose... just wait and be patient. I will work itself out. Hope you enjoy.
Influences: James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, Rob Tyre, David Wilcox, Tom Waits, The Police, Kirk Adams, Gale Trippsmith, John Mayer, Neil Young, my Mother and Father and others that you may never have heard of before.
