Tom fell in love with music when he was about 8 years young. He watched "the peanuts" and was so impressed about that guy who played on the piano that he decided "to make that music too".
Some months later, around Christmas time, Santa brought him a casio keyboard and... this was the beginning of a neverending journey into sound.
With 12 years, Tom has already small gigs on friends parties and does live performances as often as he can. Friends wonder how hes does these live-performances as he never studied music, following only his ears to make these live acts without any notion about partitions, notes and similar things.
2001 - DCENT (Dan & Tom) present their live show @ prequalif on Fête de la Musique @ Dudelange. There are 12 rock-bands and Dcent. The Jury seems impressed because even between rockbands, Dcent ends on 4th place.
A fear years later, DCENT has progressed. Neppy and Smeye_Lee perform their Live-Show @ Melusina, the probably most announced house club in Luxembourg. Their Live-Act makes the clubcrowd groove and the whole performce is live broadcasted on Eldoradio.
After this performes RTL Luxembourg invites Dcent to an interview.
Then, the way of the two artists splits up as Dan continues his studies @ Bruxelles an Tom enters the world of Work... their music suffers as time gets too short.
Years later, Smeye_Lee creates a A.s.b.l. to bring artists together for common projects into electronic music. Madfreax is born.
2004, Madfreax gives its first performance on Devils week in Dudelange.
2005, Madfreax proudly presents their first Event called "agressive mutation"
Artists like Neppy, Ionic, Yodry present their mix-skills and heat up the club crowd with the tastiest electronic beats.
2006 Madfreax ist almost present on 10 locations each mont. The Madcrew mixes @ New Liberty (Bettembourg), Café am Trach (Esch-Alzette), The Plain Vanilla (Kockelscheuer), Kulturfabrik (Esch-Alzette), Cinéma Aristone (Café, Esch-Alzette), Café 1,2,3 (Club Lounge, Esch-Alzette), Jester // Knight Club(Foetz) and many more occasional gigs.
2007 - Madfreax presents "United for Life" a new concept to support one of the most engaged Worlds Aids Organisation. Madfreax presents their concept on RTL Television, RTL Radio, LRB and many other medias (watch the interview here, jut copy paste the link in your browser:
