In January of 2007, Shawn Moore met Tim Lawerence in a music recording class at the County College of Morris. They had a project where they had to record a song for the class. After realizing they were both metal heads, they decided to record "Ruin" by Lamb of God, with Shawn on guitar and Tim on the drums. They only practiced it once before they recorded it, but it ended up sounding great. Thats how REAPER began. Shawn asked his very close friend Sean Connelly to share guitar duties with him in the band, and he asked his younger brother Tristan to come in and play bass guitar. Sean was in a previous band with singer Tom Alessandra, so he asked him to take over the lead vocal position. 6 months and a few great shows later, REAPER released its demo cd, called "The Ritual Has Begun." REAPER's fan base has been steadily growing, and the brutality of the show is increasing every time they play. So if you like slam dancin' to some kick ass heavy metal, come and check us out!
