I am here for Friends

About Me

People's lives are often defined by what they've learned. So here are a few things that I've learned---I've learned that internalizing pain is the quickest way to suicidal depression---I've learned that people are fundamentally good, and that one of the biggest flaws in people is our inability to see the good in others---I've learned to not take everything at face value---I've learned that regardless of race or nationality or religion or creed, we all need one thing, and that is to be loved---I've learned that heartache is only temporary, but regrets can last a lifetime if left unchecked---I've learned that forgiveness is reserved for those who forgive---I've learned that courage is the bi-product of faith and desperation---I've learned that everyone happens for a reason, nobody was a mistake, and there was a reason why you were supposed to talk to that random man walking down the street, at the bus stop, in the grocery store---I've learned that every mistake that one makes can be washed away---I've learned that Love is patient---I've learned that rejection is a favorable alternative to inaction and indecision---I've learned that there's a difference between standing for a cause, and standing with a cause---I've learned that people would rather die, than continue living alone---I've learned that nothing can heal a persons hurts like the gentlest touch from a caring individual---I've learned that a word in due season can save lives.
GENERAL: I love people, and I love life. Every day is a gift, and I want to try to give a little bit of each day towards serving my God, and serving those around me. I still have my problems, but I enjoy looking back and seeing how far I've come. I'm on Myspace way too much. No, I'm not addicted to Myspace, I'm addicted to the people here. I'm insecure sometimes, but I'm getting better with that. I get jealous sometimes, but not as often as before. I get paranoid sometimes, so don't stare at me ;). Music is a big part of my life. I love the way a good song can turn your mood around, give you deeper insight and understanding, comfort you, and articulate thoughts that you can't express on your own. If you want to know what kind of mood I'm in, or what I'm thinking, just check out the songs I'm listening too.
PERSONAL: I go to church, usually to connect with God in a more intimate setting, sometimes to connect with other people, and sometimes just because I'm in a crappy mood and I need to smile. My church is amazing. Check it out sometime: Cottonwood Church in Cypress, CA .
