This is your boy Prilacation bka King of the North!! I've been rapping for about 9 years now and have been making beats and engineering about the same amount of time, though when I began this journey it did not start out this way. I mean everyone is a fan of their own type of music weather it's rap, rock, R&B, metal, techno, or whatever but me R&B was my first love. I grew up listening to all the greats Teddy P, Barry White, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, Boyz to Men, Earth, Wind and Fire, Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, and more! My grandma was always saying I was walking around singing and performing in front of people (I wish she would have had some of it on video) no matter where we were. I didn't really fall heavily for rap till I was about 10 years old and my cousin forced me to listen to Too Live Crew for the first time. Once I heard "Pump that Pussy" it was a game over!! Although I didn't know what they were talking about back then (though I do now) I still loved the high tempo beats, the loud choruses, and just the whole vibe. It quickly lead me down the dark path so to speak, because from there I started bumping Ezay - E, Bone-Thugs-and-Harmony, Too Short, Mr. Luke, Tu Pac, Jay - Z, Scarface, Nas, Master P, Tech N9ne and so on. I have always felt that the hardcore, underground, musical influence I had, had a major effect on the type of music that I make today and I'm very glad for that.
Anyway back to me! Like I said I didn't start on the musical path, though I was always a big fan of music doing things like: Being in the high school band and played 3 musical instruments, I was always up on game when it came to who was hottest in the underground, and what was new and dope. I also was very good with poetry and creative writing, hell I excelled at it throughout my scholastic career! I was always writing storied and rhymes on paper and all that but never quite took it serious. When I was in high school I wanted to be a doctor, cure cancer, or be some kind of world renowned scientist., but then one day man I was watching MTV getting ready for bed and I hear this song by Destiny's Child called "Can You Pay My Bills", when I heard that song man it made me so mad that I said fuck these bitches I got something for em and got me a pencil and a piece of paper and wrote my first rhyme called "MMB (More Money Bitch)" and it activated what I like to call the "Rap Gene". From that point on I was always freestlying, writing rhymes, making beats, producing my own songs ECT.
I got my first big break with my boy Killa Nan, we met at work flipping burgers and one day he hands me his album "Hibernation" I had him my demo beat CD and it was on from there. I hooked up with his boy Mezzo and they signed me to their Indie label “Thug Men Records” from there we formed a group called "Major Factors" and we completed an album called "Connected and Well Respected" which didn't really do all that much but we did submit the demo to Yukmouth but never got a response back. After that I began doing more production work for the artist of the label like Skeem and Duce Duce, but like all good things it eventually came to an end because everyone wanted to go off and do they own things. So out on my own again I started my own little record label called "Dark City Entertainment" and did quite a few things with that. I worked freelance with a lot of artist like: Mike Skillz, Skeem, Mezz, Killa Nan, Trigga, Bo-low aka Streetz, and more. After I started the label I began getting a small buzz around the town and from there went out of state for awhile absorbing game from the big wigs and other professionals in the industry trying to understand how they made it big.
After a few years with artist after artist leaving my stable to do they own things I eventually hooked up with 3 decent rappers that wanted to ride for ya boy their names were; Xo, Trick Tease, and Generous. For 2 years we began working on each ones albums, and getting they're names out there, doing the whole promotional grind thing trying to get it popping but it just seem to never happen because the money never came together. So again like all great things it dissolved but this time it turned ugly; friends turned into enemies, people lost the flair to rap, or we had disputes that turned one another against each other. So after that being dissolved I decided I would never run that type of label again I would run a label where I would do things my way but at the same time either give the artist the freedom to leave or give the artist the freedom to work with not only my label but with other labels as well and not be locked into some long contractual agreement, hence State Line Music Group was born!
State Line Music Group is a vision not just a label it is something that I wanted to do to bring artist together in a collaborative medium and let them decide how they want to put out and/or create and promote their music. Right now it's doing pretty well, with a little time and patience you'll be hearing its name ringing through the airwaves and on television but for now just be patient on that. Right now at present date I just finished producing under the (SLMG) name a whole host of projects for my boy Killa Nan and am also in the process if releasing my own projects later this year. I have spent 9 years paying my dues ands have seen a lot of good, bad and ugly things in this business. Not to say I have made my share of mistakes but I think it's high time for me to get it popping ya'll, because 07'- 08' is the year of Prilacation and ya'll going to be hearing from ya boy real soon!! Until then though stay tuned and keep ya ears to the streets it's all Jesus holla at ya boy fo shiezal!!!!

SLMG is a label dedicated to the artist; it is a collaborative medium that gets artist together with the same common goal which is to put out good music. It is a label that does not focus on long lengthy contracts to lock an artist in a click so to speak but it allows artist to do music they way they want to do it by taking advantage of the services we provide. As far as the services we provide, we provide: Cover designing, music production, beat making, engineering services, event planning, and distribution services.
