About Me

We are .... ME! PETE CASTLE, guitarist, and whomever I could drag into the studio and on the stage over the years. I came up thru the clubs of Los Angeles in the late 70's & 80's and soldiered thru to the current day. Having played in bands, projects, recorded and/or jammed with names from Frank Banali, George Lynch and Rudy Sarzo to Glen Hughes, Dennis Davis, Willie Dee (G-Force) Neil Turbin and Toni Childs. I never quite made it to the BIG SHOW, but it's been quite a ride anyway. I'm lucky enough to get to play what I want, the way I want (thank you day gig). Please DOWNLOAD THE FREE TUNES listen and enjoy. PS I can also be found at http://www.myspace.com/xguitarhero..

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: On the current recordings: I've added "A Song For Lulu" cause I felt "in the mood" and as a way to play how I feel for my wife Lulu. I am blessed truly. It's an improv - just me, Benny Blakemore (bass) and a drum machine. I hope it speaks to you just a little. "Temple Of Love was written by Me, Keith St John (Montrose) and and performed by Industry featuring Keith St John: Vocals, Pete Castle: Guitars, Matt Harrison: Bass and David Watson: drums....."Liar" was written and performed by Goon Squad featuring: David Keckhut: Lead Vocals, Chris "Drumslut" Silva: Drums, Michael Cullen: Bass, and myself..."X Guitar Hero" Pete Castle on Guitars & Backing Vocals..... "The Highlight Reels Part 1" is part 1 in a collection of brief excerpts and self indulgent "LOOK WHAT I CAN DO" nonsense compiled from recent efforts with more to come..... "Lessons Learned" was written by Ben Blakemore and myself while "BS Shoes" is my take on Blue Suede Shoes by Carl Perkins. Both are performed By Front Street featuring Butch Grey: Lead Vocals & Harp, Ben Blakemore: Bass & Backing Vocals, Jay Singh: Drums, and ME again on Guitars..... All music available in the little store to the right will eventually make it into the mp3 rotation above so you can hear the whole thing if you can bear more than an excerpt. PLEASE NOTICE TRACK OF THE DAY FOUR TIMES (AUG 18 AND AUG 25 & 26 and SEPT 24) AT GARAGEBAND.COM, and BEST GUITARIST IN METAL ONE WEEK (for "Liar") AND BEST GUITARIST IN BLUES ROCK FOR TWO DIFFERENT WEEKS (for "Lessons" and "Rich Man's World")!!!
Influences: Wow. Probably pretty obvious. Major influences are Jimi, Jeff Beck, Frank Marino, John Mclaughlin, early Robert Fripp, Leslie West, Michael Schenker, Eric Clapton, Brian May etc. Players that lit a fire under my ass in the last 20 years are Eric Johnson and Eric Gales - Love it!
Myspace Layouts
