What is our FORM of Government?I ask that question of Americans today and I get a bewildered gaze. Let me help you. Say our "Pledge of Allegiance".......and to the REPUBLIC !!! You will not find the word "democracy" in any of the founding documents, i.e., The Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, or the Constitution. If your elected or appointed officials promote a democracy, I would call that an act of TREASON. There is a great difference between those seperate forms of government. In our Constitutional Republic, 99% of the people may not vote away the unailienable rights of one man. In a democracy, a majority may vote away all rights of the minority. It has been said by Mr.Ben Franklin that "Democracy is Two Wolves and a Lamb Voting on What to have for Lunch. Liberty is a Well-Armed Lamb Contesting the Vote" The end of democracy is always choas and violence.
