Singer, Choral Conductor, Composer, Voice’s Arranger; professor of Piano, Vocal Technique, Music Theory and Music History; Theater and Television Actress. Clary Varona was born in Havana, Cuba. Completed her Bachelor’s degree in music education and choral conducting at the Conservatories Alejandro GarcÃa Caturla and Amadeo Roldán in Havana, Cuba. Won the first prize at the provincial level and third at the national level at Amadeo Roldan Contest for Choral Conductors. Havana, Cuba 1994. In 1995 moved to Colombia where she studied singing and vocal technique under the tutelage of maestro Ramón Calzadilla. For about twelve years she developed as Choral Director, classical piano teacher and music history professor teaching at prestigious universities and academies in Bogota, Colombia. Clary acquired experience as theater and television actress, acting in several musical theater plays at National Theater of Cuba and Karl Marx Theater. She has also won awards in several contests such as storytellers, orators and one-person shows actress. Participated as a child vocalist next to Noel Nicola in LP 'Tricolor', EGREM Grand Prix 1989. In 2001 recorded her first solo album: "A los pies de La Virgen", making a tour of Latin American musical genres. In 2005 directed for the Universidad del Rosario, the production "Cantad, un Niño os ha nacido" depicts the Christmas choral repertoire. In 2006 she produced the Institutional Choir CD of the Colombian School of Engineering Julio Garavito. In 2007, recorded as soloist and composer of the album "Cubamor" produced by Carlos Rivera. She has conducted choirs in Havana, Bogota and Miami and directed in various festivals including the V edition of the Competition CANTAT America, La Plata, Argentina. She has performed in Centro Cultural Andres Bello, Teatro Colon in Bogota, evening concerts at the Cultural Hotel La Fontana and La Peña de La Mujer Gilberto Alzate Avendaño Theater, among others. Clary has sung as vocal soloist in various musical groups and bands as Gens Nova, Trio Bohemia, Latin Class, Ensamble Latino, Convergencias and currently with Real Feeling Trio. Since 2008 she is living and performing in Miami.
