About Me

What do you get when you mix slam poetry, soulful vocals and no less than five instruments? The answer is up and coming local... performance artist? Musician? Vocalist? We're not sure either, but whatever it is that Miss Osborn calls herself, we will happily accept. If she's not strumming the guitar, she's playing the harmonica or violin while accompanying herself on the piano, all the while performing original monologues, poems and songs. Perhaps even more unique than her music is her writing. Snappy, poignant and smart, with an innocence an vulnerability that draws in the listener from the get go, she unapologetically presents her inner demons and dreams to the audience. (And we promise, by the end of the evening, you'll want to get to know her better.) The scary part is that this isn't even Miss Osborn's day job. Blue hair and Chuck Taylors aside, Miss Osborn is an improv comedian, technical director, wedding planner, lounge singer, drama coach and once (we learned from our favorite poem of the night) a stripper for six hours. We highly recommend you check out her website at www.catieosborn.com Appearances by this blue-haired poet are rare and should not be missed.
