Preverted pop music at it's best

About Me

BIOIn mid 2006 a young man by the name of Jacob Berry began to set in motion the actions that would lead up to the formation of The Clairvoyant. Having started, and ended, many bands before this one Jake's first plan was to get a drummer. About a year earlier Jake had began to teach his friend Kyle Columbus to play drums and asked him to jam. The session went well doing some metal covers and just playing around for fun. Though this was going well something more was needed. Jake called up his long time friend Max Eichhorst who came over to see what this thing was all about. At first Jake and Max's style's clashed but they learned to read each other and quickly wrote the tune "Vanilla Flavored Crush" in one night. Jake, Max, and Kyle continued to practice for about 3 months before it was time to find a bassist. Jake suggest his childhood friend Cole Haskins, no one disagreed and Cole was contacted. In there first jam they came up with the basic idea of what would become the "Evil Redemption Song" and Cole was in.With the band now set they began to write new material and get tighter and tighter. They practiced for 9 months when they finally got a show at The Vault in Buffalo MN. Needless to say the bands were very stoked and began to practice twice as much. The first show was an amazing blast of energy and the vibe from the audience was amazing. As a result of the show they were asked to play another about a month later. Much like the first the second show was a success and the boys were invited to open at Blood Root Mothers CD release show. Sadly though tensions in the band began to rise and something had to be done. After a band discussion Jake, Cole, and Max all agreed that it would be best if Kyle left the band to which he agreed and he left on good terms. After Kyle left the band the remaining three members instantly contacted there good friend Ben Sibley whom they had talked about for a while. There styles instantly meshed and the band cranked out two new tunes "Cloak of Flames" and "Sell Your Soul". The first show with Ben went just as good, if not better, then their actual first show. With the four members comfortable with each other The Clairvoyant have began to evolve and change into a more organic and freeform band. Using their passion for music, energy of the soul, and knowledge of theory they are taking typical pop songs and mutating every perverting it if you like to find a sound they can call their own.The Clairvoyant are lucky enough to have shared the stage with the following bands. God Johnson, Down Lo, Max Power and The Feedback, Fat Maw Rooney, Kid Dakota, The Lives of Famous Men, Chase Pagen, and Blood Root Mother. They have played at the following venues as well The Vault and The American Legion in Buffalo MN, also the 400 Bar in Minneapolis, Java Joint(Revival) and EFFIT FEST 08.
