Mitchell Wade Cheatham. I yam, I yam. I'm a open minded, egocentric, acute listener, with strong hands for giving great massages to ease your troubled mind. No Jared I will not make out with you. I have been studying percussion since childhood, thank you parents, playing with all types of music on the radio, crappy bands, through high school marching band, and all the way through the day I dropped out of Oklahoma State University. Yes I went to band camp, and all the stories are true. Woodwind girls are freaky deaky yall! Anyway, I was part of many ensembles and groups from the finer performing arts, marching band, drum corps, symphonic, jazz, rock, funk, to hip hop. I learned many skills from Wayne Bovenschen and fellow percussionists at OSU. But owe my desire to my parents for allowing me to practice day in and day out, when I know they just wanted some peace and quiet. And anybody that fed my ego, stroke it. Thank you friends. You name it, I can play it. I like to focus on simplicity now, in life and music. That's a lie. No, it gives me room to grow in many directions. So many years of trying to impress so many people went to my head. Backlash can be brutal. I like keeping the beat in the pocket, as well as my hands, I'm a little clumsy. People often ask why I laugh at anything and everything. Well, if I didn't laugh, I'd cry. It's that simple. I take much pride in maintaining good relationships with the music community wherever I may travel. I do like a little competition now and then, but friendly. That's a lie, too. Sheesh! Fearing you will be outdone can be very motivational. We all need to reach outside of the box every once in a while, and asking others for help is one way to start. It's lonely at the top if you stepped on everbody to get there. Know what I mean?
