Singer/Songwriter/Make-up Artist/Father. What a combination! Life has shown me that you can never be afraid to explore all that is you. The funny thing is sometimes it takes a large part of your lifetime to start. My journey into to 'me' began at band reheasrsals with my parents as kid. Both of my parents are musicians/artist. So I just absorbed music every week in in some basement. It wasn't until college while I was studying chemistry/pre-med that I was sitting around in the dorm with the guys and Eric Lamont Coates sang Luther Vandross' 'So Amazing' that I realized that I loved music and wanted to be a part of it. Hell, it was already a part of me. So began the journey...singing, writing, playing guitar & piano in school, never stuck with it. But it gave me the foundation for the ear and arrangements that you hear in my writings. I play enough to write and communicate my experience. Fatherhood shapes me daily. It is a constant motivator. I am the father of five (Aaron, Avery, Morgan, Tyler, Jalyn)...and I know that one day there will be more. The old fashioned way or through adoption :) I love children!! The Make-Up thing...a part-time job to get my girlfriend a discount go tme hooked on making a difference in the world. I work at the Aveda Institute in DC and have 140 "children" whom I inspire and by whom I am inspired daily. 20 years in retail, marketing, and fashion brought to a company whose approach to beauty is holistic, enviromental, and diverse.
