The Pink Williams Band

About Me

A lovely man from Needles, California -- I would follow Pink Williams anywhere. Unfortunately, as is often the case with someone so talented and tortured, he's the tumbleweed driven by the restless wind...

So, we continue to play the heart-wrenching, foot stomping songs that inspired us all to come together in the first place ...waiting for the day when the long, low whistle of the train stops blowing, and he returns with guitar in hand -- feet firmly on the ground. Call it my Western Dream.

With all my love, Pink, wherever you may be... Alice Williams

Influences: Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill, The Rolling Stones, Dwight Yoakam, Artie Shaw, Duke Elllington, Nat King Cole, Bruce Springsteen, The Everly Brothers, The Mavericks, Mariachis, Johnny Cash, The Allman Brothers (who hasn't been down to the Whippin' Post a few times in their lifetime?) Buddy Holly, Elvis Costello, Steve Earle, George Jones, anything with a fiddle, and anything Aurora can dance to.
Sounds Like: Sometimes it's a matter of, "The pen is mightier than the sword..." Other times it's "my heart's broke so bad, I'll never breathe again..."

When the smoke clears, the train whistle dies on the wind, or you find yourself still standing after the lightning strikes -- we hope it was worth the ride.

Out Of The Mouth Of Babes

Country Music was invented by Jesus, the U.S. Army and Cowboys... An observation from my 8-year old on the way to get dog food.  I made him repeat it, because I couldn't be sure I'd heard hi...

If We Didnt Have Good Friends...

If we didn't have good friends, angels with broken wings would never fly again, and heartache would know no limits. XOXO,  A.

Marty & Axel? Thanks for "Better Man"

It's the heartache brought on by love, and life, and the words of wisdom from friends that allow inspiration to flow.  "Better Man" was a labor of love -- and I thank you both. Marty Lefeve...

Feels like Oklahoma, Pink...

Ran into a good friend today, and he said, "Life's most important lessons come at a great expense...  Most often because we're afraid, and fail to listen to our heart." I'm still living in Calif...
