BIG HAIRY MONSTER

About Me

Deeply conceptual and decidedly different, Big Hairy Monster is an unusual breed. Born in the deep woods of central Georgia, the monster has scared the hell out of those that have seen it, with witnesses describing it as dark, beautiful, dangerous, and just plain silly.Founded by veteran vocalist/keyboardist Clifford Treend and powerhouse drummer Russ Cooke in 2003, the group has evolved to include the amazing fretwork of guitarist/vocalist Foster McMullen and the funky bass lines of Eric "Hornet" Fellhauer.Cliff Treend has been playing the keyboards since he could barely walk, and has performed on two continents billed with bands as diverse as Blue Oyster Cult, Kansas, Lillian Axe, Brand X, IQ, and Montrose.Russ Cooke has years of experience behind the drum set, providing the heartbeat of Monster Music as well as being an in-demand gig drummer around middle GeorgiaFoster McMullen also has years of performance under his belt. Not only is he the owner of Music Masters Pro Music Store in Byron, GA, but he also teaches guitar to over 70 students.Hornet Fellhauer still hasn't filled out his bio, but he's damn good! The result is a concoction of very unusual original songs, highly modified cover songs, and the occasional bizarre free jam. Influences range from Abba to Zappa, AC/DC to Zeppelin, and a whole lot more. The band's first album, "View" is in final mixing/mastering stages and will be available soon.Have you heard the monster?Monstrosity 1 - The...
