Rochelle Joseph - Piano

About Me

As an up and coming young musician, Rochelle Joseph has developed the deepest passion and respect for music. Her love of music has always been with her and her focus and determination to become a professional Classical Pianist will always drive her forward.Rochelle’s musical journey began as a young child. She started singing when she was 6 and joined many choirs performing in local areas around Birmingham as well as at the Birmingham Symphony Hall with local youth orchestras. At the age of 8 Rochelle’s passion for music had grown further still and she had started playing the piano. In pure admiration of many adults that played piano around her, she practised for hours daily determined to improve. As a quiet, shy and sensitive child, Rochelle found that music was one of the few ways she could express herself both through the enjoyment of listening to and playing along with music. Although it would take a further 4 years before she felt confident enough to perform in front of others, music was now firmly a wonderful part of her life.School performances allowed her to share her musical talents with others. Playing with other musicians gave her an over whelming sense of belonging amongst others that she could share music with. By this time Rochelle had also begun writing many songs and had well established herself as a singer/songwriter and keyboard player in school. Still in choirs and playing regularly with other musicians Rochelle soon realised this was something she would like to do as a life long career. Now aged 17, her passion for music and the Piano is stronger than ever. Her skills, techniques and general understanding of music is always improving as she plays and performs with a range of various musicians in a range of different popular music styles. She feels she has finally found her musical feet in Classical music and wishes eagerly to pursue a career as a professional Classical Pianist.
