Ikarus is Andrei Niconoff aka dj Android, was born in the 8th of july of 1982 in the city of Puebla, Mexico. Since a very short age Andrei got a particular interest for electronic music and for all the different types of artistic expressions that this culture has.Years later is how he learned to play drums and he starts to get directicly involved with the musical ambit and then being part of a band of hard core metal called “Porno Addiction”.He has always has the influence of different types of music like is trance, reggae, drum and bass, progressive trance, chill out, lounge, bossa nova, electro, dub, minimal, trip hop, acid jazz, metal and of course psytrance, being the style that more completes him in a lot senses.With the pass of the time, Android starts to get involved with aspects of audio productions and little by little he gets closer to the new audio technology, and that´s how he starts to generate a style and a unic sound that has many musical influences.His project “Ikarus”, he started in the beginning of 2006, his sound is a combination of a lot styles of trance like full on goa, psytrance, South African trance, morning trance, progressive and electro.Ikarus works with different soft wares, fl 5 y 7 Studio, cubase sx 3, sound forge, vsts, and some plug ins, Hardware interface firepod, midi controller roland pcr - m30.He is recognized because the rmx that he produced in 2006, of the famous song “eurythmics”- “sweet dreams”.Now Andrei has 25 years old and he´s a professional, he studied communications. Lives in Puebla, Guanajuato and Can cun - Mexico. But he never has a specific place to settle down.His passion is the musical production and his interests are more of spiritual than material.He is part of a pioneers tribes of puebla trance called "Bushido" and“Psy pig”. Now on day he´s handle bye a low indie profile. He is agree to play wherever place to start getting to know his sound and style that “Ikarus” propose.
