About Me

I have been singing and playing guitar since the age of 5 and composing since the age of 10. I have never looked back! Every song I write seems to be an improvement on the last and now I am looking at recording my latest material a.s.a.p. I have mostly accoustic tracks, but I am now writing with Keith Birkett(Rokyesoxoff) in our recently formed band 'High Roller'.

HEARING AID REVIEW FOR THE RAINBOW 24/07/08First up Jamie Croft. Another great solo spot (saw him back in May, supporting Bryn Christopher) and, despite having only heard most of the songs just once they'd lodged firmly in my aging brain. Which is always the mark of quality songwriting and a top notch performance. He has a wonderfully laid back style, eyes closed and lost in the song, you get the feeling that this is someone who is as happy strumming away to himself as he is to an audience. Which, for me, is the right way round. Lots of standout moments, but Supergirl, Dance With The Devil and I'll Save You Tonight were all pretty close to 'acoustic arcadia'.

Band Members: Hearing Aid Review for the Flapper gig 23/05/08:'How do you follow that? A singer / songwriter of course. Local troubadour Jamie Croft played a strong, passionate set of mainly original material (with a cover of 'Help' thrown in for good measure), the highlights of which were the Wild Wood-esque Dance With The Devil and I'll Save You Tonight. He reminded me a little of a (much) younger Van Morrison in places, but that's probably just me.'
Influences: The Beatles, Paul Weller, The Stone Roses and Oasis.
Sounds Like: PREVIOUS PERFORMANCES and VENUES include 'The Barfly' Birmingham supporting Operahouse. 'The Flapper and Firkin' in Birmingham supporting Bryn Chrystopher. 'The Rainbow' in Birmingham. 'The Cross' and 'The Hare and hounds' in Birmingham.
