Philadelphia has always been fertile ground for growing amazingly talented artists. From jazz to rock, classical to hip-hop, the city of Philadelphia is synonymous with great music. Legendary artists such as Chubby Checker, McCoy Tyner, Hall & Oats, and John Coltrane as well as newer artists such as Jill Scott, Christian McBride, and Amos Lee have all developed their musical skills here in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Music Week is a cooperative schedule of performances, activities, and events highlighting Philadelphia artists and music venues.
