The Gravel Shifters

About Me

Arising from the ashes of Bluez Arizing come 'The Gravelshifters'... After meeting through the social networking site 'Facebook' and discovering a similar taste and knowledge of Chicago and Texas blues, Ash Savage and Thom Gray met to jam. It was swiftly decided that Durham needed a different style of music, one which fuses the raw groove and passion of the blues with the inspiration of modern times. The first gig saw a romping three songs in fifty minutes(!) set with the incomparable Stuart Berryman on Vocals, Thom Gray and Ash Savage on shared lead guitar duties, Ross Stirling on Bass and John Stott on drums. From this the band has morphed into 'The Gravelshifters' a powerful blues rock outfit, with a new name and a new line up. The first LP was recorded in 'The Studio' Hartlepool, if you like it contact us!
