About Me

Okay, now we have cable - too much cable. Kinda retarded to pay 70 bucks a month to watch a bunch of reruns, but we gotta have our "Man Vs. Wild" and "Jon & Kate + 8". My current love is Trader Joe's Veggie Chips. What aggravates me the most is that the people who don't know how to drive tend to follow me around. Right now, the best thing is that Chloe's pre-school is finally over. Her graduation song was "I Believe I Can Fly" by R. Kelly. She'd practice singing it all the time, and it was getting on my nerves. "See I was on the verge of breaking dowwwwwwwwn... my life was nothing but an awful sonnnnnnng...." Shit, she's only FIVE!

My Interests

I Love FOOD. Why did it take them so long to come out with Baked Doritos ???
Being pregnant has shown me a new appreciation for food. Dammm I miss beer. My new favorite food is tamago-meshi, since I was told that raw eggs are okay, as salmonella is not linked to birth defects. And... does anyone know a good okonomiyaki recipe?

I'd like to meet:

Dean Cain. Although I don't think he'd be as great in person as he is, oops, WAS, on TV.
Myspace Contact Tables

Music:

Steel Pulse, UB40, Gregory Isaacs, No Doubt, John Mayer, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, and all kinds of Hawaiian music. Since we keep moving, I have difficulty finding good radio stations, but my car stereo has 3 programmed so far. 98ROCK, 103.9 THE FISH, and 94.7 smooth jazz.

Movies:

Movies nowdays are TOO predictable. And way too expensive. $9.50 adults and $6.25 kids!!! Did you know that the $$$ you spend on a movie ticket goes straight to the movie company (MGM, Sony, GEORGE LUCAS)??? Come on, people, SNEAK IN TO THE THEATRE, BUY SOME POPCORN, AND STOP SNEAKING IN YOUR OWN FOOD!!! Unless it's beer. They should sell beer. This is one of my favorite flicks. Conveniently, it's a link, so you can check it out and buy yourself a copy - no, buy several copies and give them as gifts - it's just that good!

Television:

"Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht"
"Hell's Kitchen"
anything on the Food Network that does not involve Rachel Ray

Books:

Latest Books I've read:
"Burned" Carol Higgins Clark This book was so lame, I had to fight to stay awake
"Hotel Honolulu" Paul Theroux
"The Body Farm" Patricia Cornwell
"Trace" Patricia Cornwell
"Animals In Translation" Temple Grandin BORRRRINGGGG...
"Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog" John Grogan - So sad, and too much violence. If you love dogs, stay away from this one.
"Fast Food Nation" Eric Schlosser - Not sure why this is a best-seller. It was just okay.
"The Food Revolution" John Robbins - Converted me to a non-beef eating lifestyle. BUT NOTHING WILL KEEP ME AWAY FROM BACON!!!
"Diamond Head" Charles Knief - A letdown.
"Return of the Jedi" James Kahn - Cheesy.
"Delicious" Mark Haskell Smith - Thoroughly entertaining. Made me LOL!
"Northern Lights" Nora Roberts - I hope this isn't one of her best. Someone tell me which one of her books is a must-read!
"Revenge of the Sith" Matthew Stover - Aside from the monotonous fight scenes, this one's great! Hope the movie's just as good.
"The Da Vinci Code" Dan Brown - Thought provoking. Want to see the movie, but why Tom Hanks???
Other than that, I like looking at the pictures in cookbooks. I LOVE food. Does anybody know where I can get some good POI around here?!

Things I've gotten used to since moving from HNL to the Bay Area

The water tastes funny.  Therefore, the soda (if it comes from a fountain) tastes funny, too. The news is on at 11PM, so The Tonight Show is on at 11:30, Conan at 12:30.  SNL is at 11:30.&...
