Mike Thomas (Saganor / The Pyramids / Symarip / Seven Letters) is well known musician all over the world mainly through his bands 'The Pyramids' and 'Symarip'. Mike and his friend founded a band called 'The Bees' back in 1967. After the final line up was desided, band started to practise really hard, ending up playing with for example such artists as Desmond Dekker and Prince Buster. 'The Bees' signed up a record deal with the legendary reggae record company Blue Beat Records and made a few singles for them. 'The Bees' soon changed their name to 'The Pyramids' as they started to work with Eddy Grant. After 'The Pyramids', same band was known by the name 'Symarip'. Legendary combo 'Eddy Grant & The Pyramids' was one of the leading reaggae groups in England during the late sixties and early seventies. The songs of The Pyramids and Symarip have later been recorded by over fifteen bands and their songs, such as 'Skinhead moonstomp' and 'Skinhead girl' are Ska anthems that the public will recognize all over the world.During the years Mike has worked with such talents as Toots and the Maytals, Prince Buster, Millie Small, Desmond Decker, Pioneers, Lauren Aitken, Stevie B, Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames, Carl Douglas, Emil Shallit, Siggy Jackson and Eddy Grant not to forget Mike's own bands: Saganor, The Pyramids, Symarip, Seven Letters, Zubaba and TNT Station. Mike and his bands has performed with for example such artists as The Byrds, Percy Sledge, Ben E.
