I have a diverse origin: Mayan, Spanish and Dutch blood runs through my veins. I was born in beautiful Guatemala, and at early age part of my family decided to move to Mexico, and I had the opportunity to start my career in the arts. My academic education as much of my artistic inspirations began since she was very little. I started school at 4 and surrounded with a lot of family talent for poetry, y grandpa was a writer, singing was the thing and my uncles would do athletics. This way, just naturally I began onto the little school performances walking the entertainment path guiding me to the desire of big professional performance opportunities. From the age of 6, I began taking dancing classes, gymnastics, theater and more at school, which took me to my first classical dance recital at the age of 8. From then on, took dancing and singing more seriously with voice lessons, classical singing and ballet, jazz and hip-hop and theater. This experience took me to my first audition in Mexico at 16, where I obtained my first singing/dancing role in a musical comedy “Cats”. I was already lounging for my singing career. In this stage of my life, stepped into the next level by writing my own thoughts, just because...that then translated into songs. Thanks to talented friends/producers who guided me through. Spent years writing and collaborating with them to present my songwriting projects, looking for different musical styles of fusion, which would incorporate my own unique and personal signature style. Some of that work I really truly loved, some of that not at all. . . I was traveling across the country and consistently touring, as a dancer for Televisa Mexico, with different very well known singers, and participating in TV shows, music videos, conventions, as well as touring outside of Mexico, like US, Europe and Africa. In 1995, a great opportunity knocked on my door working with Pablo Pinilla, a very well known Spanish producer all trough the Latin American continent. Although my original music wasn’t part of this album, I was signed to Polygram Discos Mexico, and lounged my first CD. This album reached the top ten charts in Mexico with 7th place song ‘Intensamente’ and took me to be part of a successful promotional tour. This produced quite a buzz through live performances as well as TV and radio, and exposure throughout all Latin America. As my singing career became established in Mexico, I decided to move and grow, so I flew to Los Angeles, to go for bigger and better, and continue writing and learning music. It's been a wonderful and growing experience ever since, and I've performed in several concerts throughout the US, as well as abroad, like performances for American an International military forces “The Balkans” and “NATO, on the other side of the world, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Austria, Holland and Belgium. Most recently, Feb. 2008 in Kyoto Japan. I am now totally devoted to music. Again, recording music was knockin' at my door... and this is my new journey called Ki!MEY, an album with the same name, and blends Pop, Rock, Urban, and Dance… my dearly roots. I think music has no borders, so this music can be played anywhere in the world, with no stereotypes of any kind!!.. and it has a different sound maybe that’s because I am a world citizen…. My lyrics talk about every emotion, every day stories, some of my friends stories.. our struggle, or simple things… and our happiness too….
