About Me

S i n g i n g is my passion.
S o n g w r i t i n g is my form of self-expression.
M u s i c is my life.

Hi there! I'm Lynda and I'm 19. I've been singing basically my whole life. I started taking voice lessons when I was 8 and performing when I was 9. In June 2008, I graduated from the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Visual, and Peforming Arts aka LVA where I was a Choir Major. It was the best 4 years of my life so far and I grew so much from all of the opportunities I had while there. Such as: student conducting for the Choir Department, caroling at ritzy Christmas parties as an Academy Singer, playing a Vietnamese man in Miss Saigon, Billie Holiday in a black history show, and a Jellicle Cat named Grizabella in 'CATS: Las Vegas.' Yeah, those parts definitely expanded my versatility... But that part of my life is over and now I move onto bigger and better things! I write songs. I've been writing for about 2 years and am still growing with each song. In the Summer of 2007, I was picked to attend GRAMMY Camp in Los Angeles as a singer/songwriter. I spent 17 days with some of the most talented people I've ever met and every day I felt inspired by them and their AMAZING talents. In September 2007, I appeared on "Showtime at the Apollo" that taped at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem. I didn't get booed of the stage which is success to me. Hmm.. what else? I sing. I write. I play piano. I act a bit. I can't dance to save my life and my favorite color is teal. I attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. as a Vocal Performance major.
If you read all of this, I love you. I make music because I love it and I don't know how to do anything else.. so I hope you enjoy it. If you like it, tell your friends! =]
Love,
Lynda
