As the corroded chords hung heavy in the feedbacked smoke-choked air, the shell-shocked audience had no idea the significance of what they had just beheld: this performance, torturously bled out from a reclusive musician equally torn between his animosity of his fans and his addiction to fame, would be the last they would ever witness.
