a degenerate is a person lacking or having progressively lost normative
biological or psychological characteristics. i am nocturnal so i obviously
fit this definition.
a filter is:
a. a porous material through which a liquid or gas is passed in order to
separate the fluid from suspended particulate matter.
b. a device containing such a material, especially one used to extract impurities from air or water.
of course i mean this in a metaphoric sense, as well as the literal.
