About Me

Not much to say at this point in my life. Everything has fallen apart, but I will straighten it all out.

My Interests

Reading. I used to like drawing, but am now afraid to crack open the sketchbook.

I'd like to meet:

Myself in ten years. Maybe I can give me some tips.

Music:

Johnny Cash, Roger Miller, The White Stripes, The Beatles, The Cranberries, Tom Waits, Beck, Rolling Stones, Elvis, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Pearl Jam, Dave Brubeck, Diana Krall, Rosemary Clooney, The Mamas and the Papas, The Animals, Fiona Apple, Nina Persson, Marty Robbins, and...who cares? Who really reads these things. Pure narcissism.

Movies:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Amelie, 300, Sideways, The Matrix, Blade I & II, Exorcist I & III, Memento, Little Miss Sunshine, Raising Arizona, Ghost World, American Splendor, The Fisher King, and other movies I am too tired to think of.

Television:

Monk, Psych, and The Dead Zone. Maybe I should not watch so much USA. Also, anything by John Safran. Of course, mostly I've been watching true crime shows lately: The FBI Files, City Confidential, Notorious, Most Evil, etc.

Books:

Harry Potter, David Sedaris, Sarah Vowell, Ayn Rand, Stephen King, Christopher Hitchens, Phillip Roth, Frank Miller, and...uh...crap. I've gone blank.

Heroes:

Don't really have any. Maybe that's what's wrong with me. Actually, the people I like tend to be rather screwed up. Some are real (Lewis Black, Harvey Pekar, Johnny Cash) and some are fictional (House, Det. Robert Goren, Monk). The question is: Do I like these people because I'm nuts or am I just trying to emulate them? I don't know...I'll ask my psychiatrist what he thinks.
