Drop me a line!But who IS she?She has a bit of a history... let me explain.Throughout the universe, an evil force erupted, out to saturate everything with darkness. This force was known as Chaos. The Sailor Wars started as a result of all the guardians of the peace-loving planets of the universe trying to defend their worlds against Chaos. The strongest guardian of them all was Sailor Galaxia.Being the peachy-keen person she was, Galaxia decided to try and stop it. The only way she could do so was to seal it inside her own body; however, she knew she would not be able to control it.Before it completely engulfed her, she sent her soul (light of hope) out to the farthest corner of the universe, praying that it would survive, and fall into the care of someone who could defeat the evil being she was about to become. This light of hope, or star seed, is Chibi-Chibi, and Sailor Galaxia became the most powerful foe the Sailor Senshi had ever faced. Chibi-Chibi came to Earth and found herself in the care of the Sailor Senshi. She was later revealed to be Sailor Chibi-Chibi, one of the most powerful senshi. She powered up Eternal Sailor Moon's tier, she brought Sailor Moon back to life, and even morphed into a sword to fight Galaxia. But alas, she died. She was, however, freed in the end like everyone else, and vanishes into the sky from whence she came.She also has the unique role in which she carries around a mysterious little incense burner. Hidden inside is Princess Kakyuu. That's why the Starlights follow Chibi-Chibi around throughout the anime episodes; they can smell their princess in the burner. However, Chibi-Chibi is not related to Princess Kakyuu in any way. (Can you tell I'm tired of answering questions about this?)Now wait just a gosh darned minute, I heard something else
!No doubt you did. Here's the scoop on the Manga Chibi-ChibiIn the Manga, Chibi-Chibi appears much like she does in the anime, only she's not quite as cute. She turns into Sailor Chibi-Chibi as well, but she can talk and transform by herself, just like a normal Sailor Senshi (only a bit shorter). She's rather mysterious, and it is not until the final battle that we learn her origin. In the Manga, Chibi-Chibi is a disguise donned by the ultimate senshi, Sailor Cosmos. Y'see, when Eternal Sailor Moon threw herself into Caulderon, the mystical river of birth and rejuvination, in the last battle and sealed Sailor Chaos, there was still a tiny speck of Chaos still left in Calderon. This speck festered and grew to a great enemy in the future, and Sailor Cosmos, dismayed at all the destruction it caused in the future, fled back to the past to make Eternal Sailor Moon destroy Caulderon altogether, thereby illiminating any possible threat. She takes the form of Chibi-Chibi to do so.But what Eternal Sailor Moon helped Sailor Cosmos realize was that the stream of life represented the birth of new hopes along with the evils, too. And if you believed in that hope, you could always conquer the bad. Sailor Cosmos knew that she could no longer fear that threat with all the love and hope Eternal Sailor Moon gave her, and faced her destiny as the true Sailor Cosmos, with confidence and bravery.Now, a long debate has ensued about how the manga is to be interpreted. Some people believe that Sailor Cosmos is actually the final, ultimate form of Sailor Moon in the future. Others think that Sailor Cosmos and Sailor Moon are in no way related.No, no, no... I heard something else!Well, for a while, the Senshi thought that Chibi-Chibi was another of Usagi's daughters, or Chibi-Usa's future daughter, but they were only speculations. Although on good ground as far as imaging, I couldnt disagree more. If one just takes the time to read/watch the entire stars series, everything is answered in the end.
Many people mix up Chibi-Usa and Chibi-Chibi, and unjustly so. Chibi-Chibi has many charming attributes that set her far apart from Chibi-Usa, and, in my opinion, make her much better, cuter, and funnier. I would even go as far to say that Chibi-Chibi is far more effective of a cute-alist* in her one season of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon than Chibi-Usa is in her two-and-a-half +three movies. (*Cute-alist: Someone that stimulates action and entertaining situations in a cute way)So, let's talk about what makes these two different. I'll try to keep my personal opinion out of this and lay out the facts, so that you can decide for yourself who is the better character: Chibi-Usa or Chibi-Chibi.It is easy to see why the Senshi, upon first meeting Chibi-Chibi, though that she might be related to Chibi-Usa in someway, perhaps her sister or her future daughter. Note the small Sailor outfits, the kiddie socks and shoes, the wide eyes. Also, observe that they have nearly identical bang parts, along with odangos and wisps of hair sticking out. Sideburns, if you will. Both have pink colored hair, both are cute, and both are unaffected when Naoko draws them Super Deformed. Now, look again.Look at Chibi-Usa's satanic red eyes. Look at the evil glare she's giving us in that picture. Look at that stoned-looking cat head toy she's holding. Do you know any little kids that play with stoned-looking cat heads? Definitely not normal. Her hair is easily three times bigger than the rest of her body. Don't you think she'd be top-heavy? She's always crying and whining, and the DiC dub gave her the most deplorable voice on the face of Anime history. And for God's sake, SHE TRIES TO DATE HER DAD!!!!!Ahem! (Unbiased now, unbiased.) Moving on, let's look at the super heroines, Sailor Chibi-Moon and Sailor Chibi-Chibi:Note that while Chibi-Chibi has color variation in her outfit, Chibi-Moon has the same dumb shade of pink in her mittee, her boots, her skirt, her jewel, her hair... you get the picture. Variety is the spice of life, and Chibi-Chibi has it, while Chibi-Moon needs it. I mean, come on! Does your HAIR have to be the same color as your costume? (Leave Sailor Neptune and Mercury out of this!) Also, look at their attacks. Sailor Chibi-Chibi's mysterious powers teleport the senshi into Galaxia's lair, help Eternal Sailor Moon fight more efficiently, and basically inspire everyone to fight on. Chibi-Moon makes useless pink hearts and rings a dinner bell.If you're still not convinced that Sailor Chibi-Moon is a horrible fighter, consider this. Chibi-Usa had to be protected by the Sailor Senshi throughout the enitre R season; the Senshi selflessly risked their lives so that the Black Moon wouldn't catch her. In the S season, she is constantly being bailed out of situations by the Senshi when her attacks fail, which is the vast majority of the time. And in the Super S season, when most of the action is focused on her, she still can't attack anything effectively on her own; all she can do is call for help. What a beautiful young man like Helios sees in her, I don't know. And does she ever thank them? Rarely. And if she does, it's usually followed by a bratty or sarcastic remark. She never considers what a great service other people do for her.Chibi-Chibi is caught in very few situations that she can't get out of herself. Even so, she is loving and cares about those around her, shares with them, and at such a young age! She doesn't even speak yet, and still knows how to express sympathy, sorrow, and gratitude! I think this is what makes her so much more endearing than Chibi-Usa; even with less life experience and less of a history, she still comes across as a sweet little girl, not a parasite.Also, I don't know where people come up with these things, but for the record:-Chibi-Chibi is not Princess Kakyuu or related to her in any way.
Chibi-Chibi is not any of the Senshi's daughter, niece, mother, or sister. She doesn't even HAVE relatives! (Unless you trace it back to the interpretation that she is Sailor Moon in the manga, but I'm not).
-Chibi-Chibi is not Galaxia's daughter, niece, mother, or sister. In the anime, she is Galaxia's light of hope. In the manga, they're NOT related.
-Chibi-Chibi is not considered an Inner senshi, Outer senshi, or Star Light. She's in her own little category.
-Chibi-Chibi is not Taiki, Yaten, or Seiya, nor is she their daughter, niece, mother, or sister.
-Chibi-Chibi is not Sailor Cosmos' daughter, niece, mother, or sister. Chibi-Chibi IS Sailor Cosmos.
