About Me

(Remember: if you have it and you didn't buy it, that's stealing...and what would your mother think? tsk...)
"Just like their namesake, The Wet Knots are unbelievably tight!"
- MC Spot, Roosevelt Krumble

Who are The Wet Knots? This trio of self-proclaimed "omadawns" was brought together as only an ensemble of this nature can - through misunderstanding.
Says drummer Ed Murray: "I guess you could say I never had any formal training. I was breaking into the storage unit where these guys were rehearsing, and I was going through their gear...and, my luck, they walked in on me."
Jim Madden: "Yeah, Matt and me were actually there to meet a drummer that a friend of mine, Tom-E, said was lookin' for a band to play with."
Matt Blake: "Matt and I,"
Jim: "What?"
Matt: "You said 'Matt and me.' It's 'Matt and I.'"
Jim: "Okay, whatever--- so, anyway - "
Ed: "So anyway, they started talkin' to me like they thought I was there to play the drums. I didn't know what to do, I mean I never played before. But, I just had this feeling...so I picked up the sticks - backwards, as it turns out - and just went for it."
Matt: "It was terrible. Really terrible."
Jim: "Yeah, we knew there was no way this guy was for real. So Matt and me - "
Matt: "I"
Jim: "MATT AND F^&*ING I --- we figured out this wasn't the guy, and we, uh..."
Ed: "They beat the hell out of me."
Matt: "We really did. It got so out of hand that the security guard came, and he called the police."
Ed: "And all three of us went to jail for the night."
And so was born, a legend.

Dog Flies from Hell

I know the subject line sounds like a tabloid headline, but this is not referring to a Satanic canine. "Dog flies," it seems, are a nasty breed of insects that can turn a trip to the beach into a B-mo...
