When asked what song Delyon, remembers after the familiar childhood songs he state's it is the West Coast-influenced anthem “Boyz-N-The-Hood†by Hip Hop legend and West Coast pioneer artist Easy-E. Since he could remember he used to rap this song at family gatherings where they would encourage him to sing for them and would even offer him some change to get him inspired. Little did he know that that would spark a rocket down an MC pathway in a Hip Hop lifestyle.As time progressed so did his knowledge of music, particularly his refinement of the Rap genre. From break dancing to graffiti from DJ’ing to the most audible form of Hip Hop; Rap is the language in which Delyon might as well carry a Master's in Rhym-ology and a doctorate in swagger. Two key elements in the competitive world of rappers/MC’s in which he holds his own.Coming from the capital of Orange County, CA, Santa Ana also dubbed “Saint City†gave the perfect backdrop to inspire the style of Delyon. Even though he was inspired by Snoop Dogg from Long Beach and 2 Pac and Dr. Dre from Los Angeles. From his style one can see that Big Pun and Jay Z from New York is mixed in with a flare of Lil Wayne from the South. At age 15, Delyon and his friend B went from just being fans to starting a rapping duo establishing their styles. They linked up with a DJ turned Producer by the name of G-12 (now known as Cali-G) and old time friend Eric aka Eater to form the underground but developing group the H.E.A.T.E.R.S. “The seven letter acronym†as it became to be known had a good enough buzz to catch the attention of 3 Flex, a good friend to the crew and landed himself the manager position. After Eater left the group on good terms, Dely, G-12, and Lethal put together a mix tape and with help by 3 Flex managed to land a couple of radio plays and an interview on a local radio station 88.9 KUCI. After winning Battle of the Bands there was no stopping them.Fast forward to 2005, the up-and-coming group, the H.E.A.T.E.R.S, had disintegrated but not their ties. Delyon started his new agenda alongside Lethal, now known as Bishop, and Cali-G (G-12) came back from school a year earlier to produce a pivotal album for Delyon. ‘The Lyon’s Den’ album was an affirmation of Delyon’s mark in the Hip Hop/ Rap genre. Out of that well crafted album came the single ‘Crusin’ which got played on Westcoast's rap-powerhouse radio station, POWER 106 and a music video which can be seen on Myspace videos and soon to be on critically Beatlounge TV. With the success of the internet, the album reached national and international level. He was also brought in performances as opening acts for established artists like Chino XL, Sly Boogie, and Raekwon to name a few.After about what seemed an eternity and Cali-G returning to school to shine up his skills as a producer, Delyon needed to work on a fully-loaded album as to give his audience what they have been so ravenous for. He dropped a couple mix tapes to feed his audiences hunger. Until now he is back in session giving those sizzling beats a proper dose of his fiery lyricism projected to drop his ground breaking material early as the first quarter of 2008.
