About Me

Central Texas Animal Defense (CTAD) is a group of individuals from Austin, Texas, and the surrounding area who are concerned for the welfare of animals. Through public outreach, demonstrations, and boycott, CTAD hopes to raise awareness about the cruelty involved in using animals for food, clothing, experimentation, and entertainment.

CTAD is currently focused on a campaign against the sale of foie gras in Austin. Foie gras is a French "delicacy" made by force-feeding ducks with metal pipes. Check out NoFoieGrasInAustin.com for more information, and keep an eye on the calendar for upcoming protests.
