ATTENTION!
KISS THE BLADE were one of the most profiled European bands to emerge from the exciting, but never adequately acknowledged wave of the 90's Goth scene. Originally hailing from Austria, they've played all over Europe and released records on various European labels, establishing themselves as a powerful true goth (live) steam machine, clearly to be found on the secularistic side of the realo-versus-supernatural divide that gained quite some resonance within the scene's internal preoccupations at the time.
True-But-Unique Goth, Hard Goth, down to earth - and bursting with passion and determination; it is attributions like these that got KISS THE BLADE their long-lasting and exceptional reputation within the world wide Goth scene and beyond genre borders. And it is attributions like these that support the notion that KISS THE BLADE will be regarded as an exceptional continental example of the "90's-Goth scene" - the GENRE, not the era! - for a very long time to come.

Plenty of cool fellas had some pretty nice things to say about KISS THE BLADE as well:
"Fantastically bruising sound and with more than a few memorable melodic twists inside the madness. A tendency on the demos ('KTB', 'Day X') to plunder the past rather than exploring their own identity but overall this is sterling stuff."
(MICK MERCER)
"A favourite in the goth/post-punk genre is KISS THE BLADE from Austria."
(Yig Hughes / ALTERED STATES)
Goth 2007 needs KISS THE BLADE - more than ever."
(THOMAS THYSSEN)
"Flaming guitar, superb drum patterns & harsh, barked vocals declaiming regret & pain. When I saw KISS THE BLADE play live in London last December it struck me that they are pretty much a 'lads band', appealing more to the male populace but I still love their raw, unnerving power. They blew away the other bands who played that night. Cuska's intelligent, intense lyrics are a towering presence, threatening to overshadow the other musicians, but no, I won't neglect them. As it says in the track 'Never Forget' "I can never forget!" The guitar work is glorious, blasting out memorable riff after riff until the very crack of doom. The bass lines too are tasteful & effective (best represented in the tracks 'Leave' & and the instrumental 'After The Phantom Kiss' which proved an awesome intro number in their live set). Despite Paul's aggressive, almost "fuck you" tone of delivery the lyrics tell anoher story. They're almost painfully personal & reading them sent pangs of empathy through me (" I give you what you want from me, With all your choices I agree" from 'Day X'). Each track is a product of structured meditation."
(Phoenix Hitch / LOWLIFE)
(Christian Pommerening / ETOILE NOIR)
(Uwe Marx / SONIC SEDUCER)
First And Last And Always' endete. Aufs Wesentliche konzentriert, arbeiten KISS THE BLADE sehr songorientiert, was so zu einer wahren Ansammlung von Gothic-Rock-Hits erwächst."
(Frank Rummeleit / ZILLO)
"Purest Gothic Rock!"
(Stefan Walther / ORKUS)
