About Me

I live in Essex, England with my boyfriend, 3 children and three cats. Five years ago, I lost my best friend from school to cancer and my life changed. I joined a belly dance class and, since then, I've completed my first novel (no agent yet though!), had belly dance articles published in magazines, helped teach two beginners belly dance classes and April 2007, set up my own dance company Phoenix Bellydance. I taught my first beginners workshop and the journey with my ladies began. One year on, I teach youth groups, ladies with learning difficulties, beginners courses and, from this, my Phoenix Ladies class, aswell as workshops in the community. I find strength and energy from my loved ones and nature and my favourite place is Dunwich on the Suffolk coast, where I like to go to feel close to the sea and part of the planet. My days are full of music. I love all kinds and my boyfriend is a guitarist and writes songs and is in a band, The Tibetan Tea Company. Both my sons play guitar and my second eldest is in a band, Thrown to Belial. My daughter loves to sing and dances hip hop, street, jazz and belly dance with me.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who are learning about the real 'me' inside. I don't watch soap operas, reality tv shows etc., because life is too busy and precious to watch strangers lives unfolding on a screen or actors playing out fictional lives for viewers amusement. People who understand the joy of nature, as opposed to the kicks that money can buy.
