I am here for Friends

About Me

Born and raised in London, I came to Los Angeles in '94 to study bass guitar. After commuting back and forth for a couple of years, at some point I realised that I had accumulated more stuff here than I had in England. That included a husband (jazz guitarist Frank Gambale) and some cats. I no longer have the husband, and we divided the cats evenly between us.A funny thing (or two) happened on the way to Los Angeles, and at the beginning of this year I finished my *first* book...Back in London in the 80s I was in a few bands, including my own, as well as doing a stint as one of the 'Anadin Brothers' with Dr and The Medics. Also sang backing vocals on my friend Paul Di'Anno's (former vocalist with Iroan Maiden) Children of Madness album. Much water has passed under many bridges.. as you will see if and when the book gets published! For the last 5 years it has been my privilege to call Laurel Canyon my home. It's wild to be driving past the former residences of Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell, John Mayall et al. I really think the Canyon has found it's way into my blood and mixed interestingly with my East London, DNA - although to be honest I don't actually have any real English blood - it mostly goes back to Eastern Europe, long before Bulgaria became trendy!________Isn't the map below cool? It's only got the most recent visitors to my profile but it's fun to see the new locations pop up when it updates. I'm hoping someone in Greenland will drop by :-)
