2008 has come and gone. 2009 is here and ILIM is ready to take it on head on. Within the last year ILIM has garnered a small online fan base and is looking to expand it with his long awaited mixtape A CHANGE IN THE GAME VOL.1, THE CONCEPT.
2008 came with its benefits including meeting good friend Art.U.M DA POET, but it also had it’s hard times where sometimes ILIM felt like giving up, friends dying, being arrested, getting his license suspended, losing his job, having his cheating girlfriend brake up with him, and in a way losing his little sister, but through it all it helps him with his writing.
“2009 has come with a lot to look forward to.†ILIM says. With the first African-American president, a mixtape finished and a lot more, what couldn’t be looking up.
“All I want to do is to make great music for people to listen to, I want to make music that people can take something from and not just make music that is meaningless. Every song that I make has some sort of meaning whether you think so or not. It just depends on what you take from it.†ILIM says.
A CHANGE IN THE GAME VOL.1, THE CONCEPT is scheduled to be released on 2-7-09. With the tape being delayed several times, it feels extremely good to finally have a release date and ready to be out there for the masses, ILIM told me.
ILIM says he is not a rapper he is just someone that does something he enjoys with a great passion.
With a lot of potential, talent and work ethic ILIM still has his work cut out for him, but if you know ILIM, you know that nothing stops this talented young man , and I can guarantee you that you will see him in the near future all over your electronic devices.
So go ahead and check back here on the 7th for his anticipated first mixtape.
